A straightforward project, good for those who are new to sewing, and looking to make their first pack.
DESCRIPTION:
The Stitchback "PZ" backpack was designed to be easy to make. In order to simplify the construction of the pack, the design has been stripped down to the bare essentials. The result is a minimalist and streamlined pack.
It features a design similar to our popular EZ backpack, but the PZ utilizes a more common 1 piece design, rather than the separate bag and suspension of the EZ.
Unlike our other backpacking packs, the PZ is a true frameless pack. With no foam frame sheet or hipbelt, it is a pack best suited to the lightest of ultralight loads. The main compartment has a dry bag style closure, and features an inner sleeve that can be used to hold a folded groundsheet or inflatable pad, which will give some structure to the pack. A large 1 piece outer pocket can hold water bottles and other items at the ready.
The pack as shown in the photos weighs 12 oz. The final weight of the pack depends largely on the types of fabrics used, so this weight is given as a reference only.
FEATURES:
- Main compartment with dry bag closure
- Cord style compression straps
- Large outer pocket
- Single top compression strap
- Removable ice axe / trekking pole loop and retainer
- J style shoulder straps with sternum strap
- Approximate dimensions: 11"W x 24"T x 9"D
