DESCRIPTION:

Turn your Metamorph backpack into an alpine climbing pack with the Alpine Panel. The Alpine Panel attaches to the front of the pack with integral compression straps, and makes it easy to carry crampons and ice tools. The crampon pocket features a plastic stiffened back to help protect the pack and has an open bottom design to allow for drainage of melting snow. In addition, webbing straps help secure ice tools. The Alpine Panel also includes provisions for adding a top compression strap to the pack, making it easier to secure a climbing rope to the top of the pack.

The Alpine Panel shown in the photos weighs 6.8 oz. including the plastic backer. The final weight depends largely on the fabrics used, so this weight is given as a reference only.
